Language and music have a lot in common. Words are to language what notes are to music. And if you want to speak English well, you will need to master (dominar a fundo) two musical techniques: rhythm and melody.

We create rhythm when we speak English by stressing (acentuando na pronúncia) the right words. Nouns, verbs, adverbs, and adjectives get more stress – while articles, pronouns and prepositions get less.

We create melody when we speak English by using the right intonation. Make sure (certifique-se) your intonation rises at the end of direct questions and falls at the end of questions that begin with who, what, when, why, where, which and how.

Keep rehearsing (ensaiando) and every sentence will become a song!
