Clio 2009

Aconteceu, nos EUA, o julgamento das peças inscritas no Clio Awards 2009, festival que chega à sua 50ª edição.

Marcello Serpa, sócio e diretor de criação da AlmapBBDO, presidiu o júri de Print/Poster/Billboard/Innovative/Integrated.

O festival, em si, só acontece em maio, em Las Vegas, quando os vencedores serão anunciados.

Last year I won the most prestigious and personal award someone can win in this business. The Clio’s Life Achievement Award. Being only 45 years old, I could not have expected to win something big like that. After the beautiful event in Miami, some days I feel a bit strange. Could I have become someone like a second world war medal of honor recipient, a veteran actor who has won his last award from the academy or a former Brazilian player that the FIFA calls in to kick off the ball in the opening game of the World Cup?
But then I got a call from Wayne to chair the jury again at Clio’s 50th anniversary. Relief! Now I can forget the past and look to the future of our business. To try and find what kind of work will make the difference in the turbulent years we all face ahead. There will be CHANGE but also HOPE, the one that comes from truly fantastic work.
